Silicosis is a respiratory disease that is incurable. This causes scar and inflammation in the tissues of the lungs. This disease will be caused due to dangerous exposure of crystalline silica. Silicon is the second naturally coming about mineral in the world. This silica is the major component of mineral ores, rocks, sands and other minerals. Workers involved in construction, detergent, railroad, mining, soap, maritime and abrasive manufacturing, glass production, ceramics, pottery, agriculture, mining, and foundry work. The symptoms of this disease include chronic cough, short breath, chest pain, fatigue, weight loss and fever. There are three different silicosis diseases a person can develop. This silicosis disease liability is a lawsuit that comes under product liability. This lawsuit helps in getting compensation for the employees suffering from silicosis due to the over exposure or open to crystalline silica.

Silicosis disease can develop in three possible ways. The most general among this is chronic silicosis. This develops due to the exposure or openness to silica dust. This kind develops due to more than nine to ten years of exposure to silica. The second form is accelerated silicosis. This develops due to higher level of exposure to silica for more than six to ten years. The third form is acute silicosis which develops due to very high amount of exposure to silica. This acute silicosis will show its symptoms within few days to four years. Hence silica exposure is very dangerous. Even the silica masks will not prevent the employees from the harmful effects of silica.
